Njoy

Rating:

There are so many brands of electronic cigarettes out there and it can be hard to know where to start when it comes to buying one. These e-cig reviews should help you start off in the right direction, and for the purpose of this review, we will be taking a closer look at one of the popular brands of electronic cigarette – Njoy. It would appear that the company has undergone a rather dramatic overhaul and to say that it has left a bad taste in the mouths of many would be an understatement.

Once upon a time, Njoy was one of the best e-cigarettes on the market. It seems to be met by mixed reviews these days and it would appear that the radical change has seen the company and to be more precise, the quality of the electronic cigarette, go down alongside its prices.

Packaging

The slogan “The best thing about this cigarette…. It isn’t one” is a slogan that certainly jumps out at you and it would seem as if this e-cig company had taken a clever approach to marketing. It looks just like a cigarette, it feels like a cigarette but it isn’t a cigarette at all and, in fact, it is healthier for you. It is bound to get the attention from smokers all over the world, right?

Njoy has taken a rather old fashioned approach to the world of ecigs, choosing to make it as realistic as possible rather than focusing on jazzing things up as V2 Cigs has done with the female orientated e-cig called Vapor Couture. This realistic approach is something that once won them a pretty impressive fan base but now, it would appear that things have taken a turn for the worse.

It would seem that this company is one that is more often associated with disposables rather than rechargeable electronic cigarettes. They offer just one starter kit – the Rechargeable Express Kit at $21.99. That’s the only option they offer and with this, you can expect to receive the following:

*1 x battery
*1 x cartridge
*1 x USB charger

Although the price is fairly low, it really isn’t a starter kit to boast about. If you wanted to compare the cost of Njoy products with a starter kit such as Green Smoke, things are going to get a little pricey, especially when you consider that the lack of kits means that you will have to pay for everything individually.

Disposables seem to be the main focus of Njoy with a three pack setting you back around $27. $10 per disposable seems a tad pricey – that’s basically what you would be spending if you were smoking normal cigarettes, although in fairness, these e-cigarettes are generally considered to be the healthier option of the two.

The electronic cigarette itself seemed to be made of poor quality. Once upon a time you would shave read rave reviews about the quality of their electronic cigarette but with the recent drop in prices, the quality seems to have dropped as well. When you consider that these e-cigs are still a tad on the higher priced side, it doesn’t bode well for Njoy at all at this point.

Batteries

One new Njoy battery will set you back around $15 and they only offer one style, one length and one design. Again, when compared with the likes of the classic Green Smoke and technology-based White Cloud and Blu Cigs, it would appear that Njoy are a bit behind the times.

The battery is about 35% smaller than most other styles of electronic cigarette which meant that e charge it held wasn’t great. In fact, we found that our battery for our new e-cig actually only lasted a couple of hours, not the two packets of cigarettes that it promised me. Technically, it should have lasted two days. In reality, it barely lasted two hours. A very disappointing turn out, even if we do say so ourselves.

Flavors & Cartridges

Once upon a time, Njoy had five different flavors. These days there are just two – menthol and traditional. That’s it? Just two flavors? Well that’s disappointing. Once again it would seem that Njoy is way behind the times.

There are four nicotine strengths available in the rechargeables:

*0%
*0.6%
*1.2%
*1.8%

In the disposable varieties, you will find that there are only two strengths available – 1.2% and 1.8%. Again, there are hardly a lot of options open to you here!

A packet of five cartridges will set you back around $22, which is very much on the higher priced side. This is not something that we were impressed with.

The good thing about Njoy is that the Vapor the e-cigarette produces is pretty impressive…. When it lasts. A we have already said the battery only lasts for a couple of hours rather then one to three days that the website actually states! Surely this company must realise that the battery is lasting well under par? On top of that, we found that the liquid had a nasty tendency of leaking from the cartridge into our mouths. This lead to a rather uncomfortable burning sensation and we didn’t use it for very long. Just to give you some idea of perspective – it didn’t just happen with every cartridge, it happened when at least three of the five cartridges that I personally tried. Al in all, it wasn’t the nicest of experiences.

Warranty

With Njoy, you get a straight up one year warranty as long as the product was bought from a registered Njoy seller and it is returned to Njoy before it is tested and a replacement can be sent out. This means that you will need to buy a new battery before you can send the faulty one back, otherwise you will be down to one or zero batteries and you will be more likely to resort to smoking “real” cigarettes again. At least the company doesn’t hide behind a weird version of a Lifetime Warranty; something that a lot of the other e-cigarette companies seem to have in common.

Added Extras

You can buy a new battery or a new charger – that’s all you have in the accessories department. That’s it? Once again this is very disappointing and we were not impressed. So far we have one starter kit, a rather expensive set of disposables, a nasty leak in our mouths and now there aren’t even any accessories? Njoy – you are not doing very well!

There is also a recycling scheme that you can take advantage of, but only when you are using disposables. If you smoke eight and send them back, you will get one free. That means that you will have needed to spend almost $80 to get one $10 free e-cig…. It hardly seems worth it, especially when you consider how expensive smoking the disposables will be lasting just a couple of hours a piece.

The referral scheme means that when you refer someone else to Njoy, they will give you 10% off your next purchase, plus 10% off your friends first purchase also. It’s not a bad idea but there are much better recycling schemes out there. V2 Cigs, for example, gives you a $15 voucher when a friend makes a purchase, and they get 15% off their purchase too. With the higher cost of Njoy’s e-cigs, you would have thought that their referral scheme would have been more worth it?

Of course, if you are not happy with your Njoy electronic cigarette, you can always return the item within the first thirty days for a full money back guarantee that they offer. Unfortunately for the company, we used it….

In Conclusion

Njoy is a brand of electronic cigarettes that once lead the way but it would seem that they have fallen well behind the times, especially when you compare the website, product and kits that are offered by Njoy and then other e-cig companies. The good throat hit and vapor just wasn’t enough to persuade us the higher prices were worth it, and when this was combined with the fact that they were still priced rather high, despite recently undergoing drops in the cost, the whole experience was a bit disappointing.

The njoy e-cigs are the biggest pieces of crap I have ever tried. Every product I have tried of theirs sucks. The disposable and rechargeable are both complete garbage! And the reviews on thier site are obviously bull$&@! .. Completely unimpressed . Flavor sucks . They do not “hit” well.. I have to puff and puff and puff to get a decent inhale. Worst e-cig I have tried. Screw u njoy!

Waist of my money. The battery lasted about 12 hours so I do not feel I got my money’s worth. I only smoke about 10 cigarettes a day and this product lasted less than one day.

Not worth the money. False to say it is comparable to two packs of cigarettes when it didn’t last for one.

I bought 2 disposable Njoy menthols. I was satisfied with the taste but both only lasted a very short time, I doubt it was equal to a half a pack for both combined. At $7.99 each, no way will I buy these again.

Worst E Cig ever. 1 out of 5 works, very poor vapor and last 2-3 days max.

I tried their King disposables. I got two 5-packs. None of them lasted more than five puffs, most only gave me two or three decent puffs. Fortunately, I bought them at Walgreens and got a full refund. They were worthless and over-priced to begin with. Will NEVER buy anything else from them. I give this ZERO stars.

I guess I’m the opposing voice here because Njoy’s are the ONLY ecig I’ve found that actually looks and feels like a real cigarette. That alone to me is worth it. They’re lightweight. I don’t like the heavy ecigs that look like metal tubes. I want something that looks and feels like a real cigarette. The only issue I have is some of them I’ve purchased work and some of them don’t. So I agree they’re pricey and sometimes a waste of money.

I think perhaps if you try thr real nJoy products like the eroll and the vape pens that can be found on the nJoy site you may see a difference…. I have spent money on nJoy but habe never actually gotten the real deal, which should have a certificate of authenticity. Actually in 2009 I did have the nJoy 501 and it was the best ecig I have ever had. And so far every attempt I have ever made to buy nJoy has resulted me in getting my money back and alerting nJoy about the bootleg bootlegging going on.

I bought my NJoy at 6:40am on my way to work. I smoked it on my commute and during two quick breaks. During the second break my NJoy battery died. The feel and taste are both great but I will never buy an $11 Ecig that lasts for less than a half of a day. I would not recommend this to product to anyone.

I like the taste, the look the feel but they dont last long at all!! I bought one at noon today.. Used it for a few minutes on my way back to work.. Didnt use it again til about 530.. Its practically gone. Waste of $$

  • Nathaniel Lee Starnes March 24, 2015 at 9:27 am - Reply

Not worth the cost. It last for about 15 puffs, you talk about money up in smoke. This is it. Not worth a shit

  • tony April 27, 2015 at 6:01 pm - Reply

I bought one of these (tobacco flavour disposable) once.
I would say I had a better experience with this than other disposables.
Good vapour volume, flavour was OK, but not great.
Disposables, in general, seem a waste to me, of both my money, and materials (thus environmentally a poor practice), but if I’m out and my evod battery dies, or something, I will occasionally pick up some disposable, since they’re widely available now at gas stations, pharmacies, and convenience stores.

NJoy screwed up this year and apparently moved to a new “warehouse” and during that transition they lost orders, failed to send orders and went completely out of communication with their customers.

Ditto on the sentiments of njoy not lasting long enough to justify the purchase. I became completely hooked thinking they were safer than cigarettes as their advertising would lead you to believe (I hadn’t smoked in 22 years) and then when I needed to get more they dropped the ball entirely! That was an ugly week for sure.

I’m off the ecigs! Totally done thanks to NJOY!

I liked the old ones you use to have. They were NJoy than NP something after it and you don’t put them out any more and they were the best. I tried the new ones, nothning like the old style. A shame you changed your ways of doing this. I know I am not the only one that liked the old ones a lot better.

Complete waste of money. Bought 3 disposables at a high price but were the only option available in the late night garage I visited. One didn’t work at all. 1 lasted for 3 weak puffs. 1 worked fine for the first 3 puffs & then died.

Will not be buying Njoy again & most definitely would not recommend !

Total waste of money bought for 2 – 1 e cig rack disposable for $6.97 each.. I need my money back. Totally sucks

  • Thomas Ridge August 16, 2015 at 9:47 pm - Reply

Njoy take this crap off the market. I bought a electric cig and one puff and nothing after that. Waste of money . I through it in the trash 30 min after I bought it.

  • Steve October 7, 2015 at 3:36 pm - Reply

I like the taste and the feel of these.

Aside from that, I bought a king size pack (5 e-cigs) last night and the first one stopped hitting after about an hour of a few hits here and there. The battery inside was still working, but no juice left. I threw it out and went to the next one the next morning. The next one started blinking with a low battery after 5 hits, but there was still juice left. On to the third one in less than 24 hours and I’m afraid to use it.

I’m not sure if I bought an old pack sitting on the shelf for too long or if these things are just THAT bad. Either way, they are too expensive to run out that quickly. The experience makes me want to smoke cigarettes again. At least if I go back to smoking and die of cancer, I’ll have more money in my pockets for the family to fight over.

My husband smoked the old Njoy style of Ecigs 3-4 years ago after having a heart attack. Now other health problems have forced him to return to Ecigs. He brought a King Njoy kit at Walgreens. The battery charger did not work. Walgreens exchanged His kit. Second kit battery got so HOT it burned His lip and caused throat irritation. NO LONGER A Njoy user. What a waste of money

I’m on my third day w/ my disposable njoy. I love it, still full of flavor & smoking great. Did I get their best model ( after reading other comments ) or are people really hard to please now a days? Who knows? Anyway, I’m happy with it. I like how slim it is, like a real cigerette. It’s cheaper then my other brand (Blue) and lasts longer.

  • Tamra January 26, 2016 at 4:13 pm - Reply

I bought mine at 7-11. 300 puffs my a$$. Lasted like one real cigarette. Only the first 5 puffs were real and I was so dismayed I took it apart to see if I was crazy. There is about a one inch long piece of flimsy, thin, gauze type material, probably soaked in the E-liquid, wrapped around a piece of plastic. Total waste of money. Glad to know I am not the only one who noticed this BS.

  • Jennylu January 31, 2016 at 5:49 am - Reply

I actually like the daily blue + BlackBerry Njoy. It is a little strong though. And at $5.99 per e-cig, not bad for a disposable. I usually use greensmoke smooth cream, but they’ve run out of this flavor & discontinued the chocolate flavor so when I can’t get the flavor I want from greensmoke, njoy daily blue + BlackBerry is my go-to. It is full flavor and lasts a long time too. No problems with it.

I bought the starter kit from NJOY and neither of the ecigs worked. I went to their website and posted this fact, and guess what? It was removed within seconds. What a shady, crappy company that would rather remove your post than offer to send you a pack that worked. I will spread the word that NJOY is utter garbage and a money-grabbing waste of your money. They don’t care if the product works or not. They don’t care if you spent your money on their product that simply didn’t work. Your loss, bro. We’ll delete your post rather than offer you a new pack. Screw these guys, that is HORRIBLE service and a total ripoff.

Just bought a 5 pack old style menthol. They tasted OLD and very un-satisfying. The new daily Njoy are much better but hard to find.

I bought the starter kit and a couple of bottles of vanilla. I cut my 2-pack a day habit in half! Does the pen leak? Some, yes. And I did quit using it. But it’s been a year, and I think I’m going to use it, again, to help cut down on my smoking even more. Whatever works, right? Wish me luck!

  • vapegirl April 2, 2016 at 1:25 pm - Reply

I bought one of these pieces of crap at 7-11. I decided to count the puffs. I got 32. This product sucks!!!!!

  • RS April 12, 2016 at 8:51 pm - Reply

FALSE ADVERTISING, beware of this company. They offered a free sample kit, made you enter credit card info, then canceled the order. Their ethics are way off, and I hate that they have my credit info now. Avoid at all costs.

They did same to me, they blame to the bank but after reading in Internet reviews I found that NJOY file for bankruptcy in sept. I today was supposed to be auctioned. Im afraid I was nailed for 40 bucks, w/o movie, dinner or a kiss.

Had a sad trip to see my sister who has ALS. Felt the need for a cigarette I stopped smoking over 5 yrs ago. Seen a Tabacco outlet on Highway 49 in Mississippi..I got a Njoy single throwaway. It was so old that the liquid was in the bottom of the container. The cigarette part that is white was tan from it being so old. Called their customer service and they took my complaint never took my number address said they were sorry offer to replace nothing. Would not even give them a 1 star. Really sorry company that does not care about the customer at all.

Utter rubbish, only got a few puffs out of each one. Also, massively overpriced……will not be purchasing again.

I personally love my enjoy vape pen and I love the blue BlackBerry liquid and I really like the double expresso but they did away with it and I like the vanilla bean I would like to try the tropical twist but when I went to the website they were sold out I have tried other vape pens and this is by far the best one

  • Paula October 16, 2016 at 12:45 am - Reply

I like my vape pen but the menthol is never in stock for customers or stores. I just bought a King and it lasted through one puff. Their disposables are garbage, customer service is non existent. But I will say compared to Blu and Blu’s prices, at least in NY, the vape pen is the best.

  • tom October 16, 2016 at 10:12 pm - Reply

Hard to find the refills. Store managers say suppliers never have enough. Went to NJoy web site and mostly everything is out of stock

  • Tammy October 29, 2016 at 2:24 am - Reply

DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THE KINGS!!! I dropped $30 today on a 5-pack of NJoy King Menthols, got maybe 10 puffs off of each before their batteries died. 5 out of 5 duds in 1 package is a major quality control issue. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN.

  • Ash November 29, 2016 at 8:32 pm - Reply

Yes the Njoy Kings suck!! However the Njoy Daily (disposable ecig) is the best ecig when it comes to tastes and closest to a real cig. Last about 2-3 fays for me.

    What a piece of crap!
I had to return the first disposable one the same day I bought it, no vapor whatsoever, my jaw was hurting from sucking so hard to get zero vapor.
The second one I got I opened at store to make sure it worked. I gave it a couple of puffs and it seemed to give out some vapor, very little actually…and as soon as I was about two blocks away from store, the crap stopped working. I’ve had e-cigs before and this one is useless.
I’m going back to store today to get my money back!!
    DO NOT BUY

  • Debbie January 24, 2017 at 5:03 am - Reply

I trying to quit smoking so I bought 4 current makes of disposable edits. One was the July disposable. I really liked the bold menthol flavor also liked the size and weight and feel of it. But sad thing is it ran out of juice so fast!!! I didn’t count the amount of vapes I took from it but it wasn’t very many at all. I lifted on it maybe 30 to es and it was out of juice…What real shame because it would have been my go to vape.As I said I liked everything about it…But the amount of puffs makes it not worth the price big time!!!

  • alex February 21, 2017 at 6:17 am - Reply
